Toronto - Ted Corrado and Nathan Isberg

“Local Ingredients include two young Toronto chefs, two clashing styles, and one menu.”

Home to more than 2.7 million people, Toronto has been called one of the most multicultural cities in the world.  The Royal Ontario Museum now has a landmark restaurant within its wall - C5 - and Executive Chef Ted Corrado has tried to capture the essence of Toronto’s cultural fabric with modern imaginative dishes. Drawing from his extensive training at award winning restaurants, Chef Corrado has developed the Green Gastronomy series, where celebrity chefs are paired with local farmers and wineries to spotlight local sustainable food producers who have a high respect for the land.

In this episode Chef Corrado is paired with the guest chef of his choice, Nathan Isberg as part of C5’s special series. Ted and Nathan used to cook together, but each successful chef has evolved in a different type of kitchen. Chef Isberg normally culls cuisine for a trendy hipster crowd using a more chaotic approach, where as, Chef Corrado is a precise gourmet perfectionist for the more affluent ‘foodie’. Joining these two chefs as they collaborate their efforts to prepare for the ROM’s dinning event, we meet passionate local suppliers and farmers who will join the public in celebrating the best of what Ontario’s land has to offer.
